The selectee for this position will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, FORCE PROTECTION PROGRAM of NSA CRANE SEC DET, located in CRANE, IN.
This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential.
The incumbent must provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
The incumbent must maintain certain levels of medical, security, performance, conduct and overall fitness that make them suitable for assignment.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Apprehending personnel by the use of force or police equipment (i.e., firearms, taser, Oleoresin Capsicum (OS) spray; 2) Preparing police reports concerning incidents and actions taken; and 3) Responding to emergency calls for service while adhering to state and federal laws OR possess successful completion of 4 full years of study leading to a Bachelor's degree in Police Science or a comparable degree program related to the work of the position OR have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.

Must successfully complete a required Police Training Academy or equivalent course, e.g. Navy Police Officer Academy; a federal or military police academy; or equivalent law enforcement training.
Must also successfully complete any annual sustainment training, Level 1 Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) contamination training (if applicable), and OC refresher training.
Employee is required to wear an assigned uniform and display official designated items or accessories to include additional required equipment.
The employee must follow and adhere to applicable grooming standards for the installation.
Must meet applicable federal and/or state minimum age requirements for the assigned installation.
Must meet OPM hearing and vision requirements to include distinguishing basic shades of color.
